Welcome! I'm Miranda Emerick, a freshman at Butler University, and I'm majoring in English with a focus on Creative Writing.
As my family will surely tell you, I have been a writer since I was old enough to understand that words had meaning. I would, and still do, carry books around everywhere I went regardless of whether or not I would actually have time to read them. Thankfully, that passion never went away. Over the next four years, I am looking forward to improving my writing ability and sharing my work as I progress. My biggest goal at the moment is to fully finish a story that's at least a few thousand words long through revisions, polishing, and rewriting. When I'm done, I want to look at it and say there's probably still more I can do, but it has reached its full potential. |
What's Miranda's favorite...
Book? |
At the moment, Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow by Jessica Townsend. This book is everything I want my stories to be. Whimsical. Beautiful. Inspiring.

Movie? |
This one is much trickier. I think, though, that Klaus has my heart in and outside of the holiday season. Jesper's character arc is one of my favorites of all time paired with so many other dynamic characters and it's packaged in beautiful animation.

Author? |
I hate this question, so I'm going to answer it. I think, most consistently, I love Marie Lu's books. I've never been disappointed by one of her books and her writing is always engaging and heart breaking.

Reading Snack? |
Ice cream. Always ice cream. Usually, Ben and Jerry's Half Baked.
